Tallahassee is radically changing its urban core through public placemaking projects and private investment. Florida State University is re-imagining its southwest campus to turn ground breaking research into commercial opportunity. A $62 million public infrastructure investment called the Airport Gateway linking the Tallahassee International Airport to the southwest campus and to downtown will begin in 2020.
Take the tour with ULI’s Board members and travel down a brand new road called FAMU Way that ties these areas together, learn about the Airport Gateway project, and hear about exciting new developments along the way. The ProjectHop includes stops at the Publix Greenwise Market, a blend of a grocery store and a trendy pub, The Cascades Project, a $150M residential/retail/office/restaurant/hotel development adjacent to a 24 acre park, Proof Brewing Company, a production facility with tasting room and restaurant, and a trip around FSU’s 900 acre Southwest campus including Innovation Park. Tour drops off at the University Center Club (UCC), which is just in time for the FSU TRENDS Opening Reception beginning at 5:00 on the 6th floor of the UCC.
