Patrick Krechowski Takes Position as Chair of North Florida District Council
June 30, 2021
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is pleased to announce that Patrick Krechowski, partner, Balch & Bingham LLP, has been named Chair-elect of the ULI North Florida District Council. The Urban Land Institute is the global leader in research and education focused on land use and real estate issues. Krechowski will succeed current Chair Tarik Bateh, JLL Capital Markets, as District Council Chair effective July 1, 2021, and serve a two-year term.
Krechowski has been a member of ULI since 2015 and currently serves as chair for the Center for Leadership initiative and chair of the Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) initiative. Charged with moving real estate projects forward, ULI North Florida’s TAP initiative has successfully brought together real estate professionals, community groups and local governments to provide comprehensive and strategic advice on specific land use and development challenges. Krechowski has helped organize TAPs for Jacksonville University, UF Health, Nassau County, the City of Neptune Beach, The Rail Yard District, and, most recently, the Northwest Jacksonville CDC.
Krechowski is also an avid UrbanPlan volunteer, a ULI program that allows participants to learn the fundamental forces that affect development in our communities. Currently, UrbanPlan is featured in six North Florida high schools. A dedicated volunteer, Krechowski was awarded ULI Member of the Year in 2018.
“Our membership is fortunate to have someone with Patrick’s knowledge and passion taking over as District Council Chair at the end of my term,” said Bateh. “We are excited to have such a dedicated member and thought leader within our organization assume the Chair role in 2021.”
Krechowski has more than 20 years of experience in real estate, land use, environmental, governmental, administrative litigation, appeals, and title insurance law. Krechowski is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in City, County, and Local Government Law.
“I could not be more excited to take the next step in my involvement with ULI as District Council Chair,” said Krechowski. “Our members and leadership are an amazing group and working with them to further ULI’s mission is both a personal and professional thrill.”
