Join ULI for a luncheon on Tuesday, April 24 to hear how the public and private sector can work together to create a successful Public/Private Partnership (P3 or PPP). Learn why P3s are a critical vehicle for accomplishing community development objectives regarding development, redevelopment and infrastructure. Successful P3’s not only benefit the community, but bring an appropriate profit and returns to the private sector.

Neisen O. Kasdin, Managing Partner, Akerman, Miami Office

Our keynote speaker is Neisen Kasdin, managing partner at Akerman’s Miami office. A former mayor of Miami Beach and leader in the revitalization of South Beach, he has extensive experience on urban revitalization and the development of complex, large-scale, multi-use projects. One of his many achievements was leading the creation of Miami’s Downtown Master Plan. He co-authored the report “Successful Public/Private Partnerships: From Principles to Practices” and we are pleased to have him discuss his experience with P3s.

Following the presentation, longtime ULI member and Attorney at Law Bob Rhodes will moderate a response panel with local leaders in Jacksonville including Steve Halverson, Chairman & CEO, Haskell; The Honorable Lori Boyer, City of Jacksonville; and Jake Gordon, CEO, Downtown Vision, Inc.
