UrbanPlan New Volunteer Training – Jacksonville
ULI North Florida is hosting a volunteer training for UrbanPlan at the Paul Davis Restoration office on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. This training is required to volunteer with UrbanPlan in the classroom.
UrbanPlan volunteer training sessions occur only once or twice per year, so if you are interested, you are encouraged to attend this training.
Date: Wednesday, January 16, 2019
Time: 8:30am – 4pm
Location: Paul Davis Restoration, 2111 N Liberty St, Jacksonville, FL 32206
Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided at the training.
Before serving as a classroom volunteer, members first participate in a required day long training session, where they are assigned roles on a development team and engage in a “lightning-round” version of the exercise. There is also 4-6 hours of pre-training homework. Once trained, you are encouraged to sign-up for opportunities to volunteer in the classroom, which range from 1 to 4 hours.
Applications for the 2019 training session are being accepted. To be considered for the upcoming training:
- Please submit an application using the form linked here: Volunteer Application.
- Secure your spot in training on our sign up: Volunteer Sign Up
Note: Training is limited to 25 people and you must commit to the full day. Backing out of training at the last minute is unacceptable and ruins the exercise for the other committed volunteers.
